Your hospital needs your help now more than ever.

For months, PRHC’s frontline workers and leaders prepared to respond to COVID-19. While your hospital stands ready, the need still exists for the technology and supplies required to equip, support, and maintain the extraordinary changes undertaken at PRHC in a short period of time – changes that will help the hospital's doctors, nurses, and staff continue to save patients’ lives while protecting their own.

Responding to a request for support from PRHC partners, we quickly established a COVID-19 response fund dedicated to the hospital’s most urgent pandemic-related priorities. Soon after, long-time PRHC champions David and Patricia Morton made a matching gift of up to $50,000 to the fund to encourage the community’s support of PRHC’s brave frontline workers. Additional matching gift commitments from Neinstein Personal Injury Lawyers, The Staffing Connection/Level A Professional Group, and anonymous community leaders brought the combined matching gift initiative goal to $190,000.

Now, thanks to an outpouring of community support, we have achieved our matching gift goal of $190,000 – raising a total of $380,000 through this initiative in support of the PRHC Foundation COVID-19 response fund!

Thank you to our matching gift donors and everyone who was inspired by their generosity to support the matching gift initiative!

Donor-funded tools and supports are aiding and protecting PRHC patients and staff.

Gifts made to date are already helping protect frontline workers, prevent the spread of infection, and support vulnerable patients and their families. Thanks to the community’s generosity, we were able to immediately fund a crucial supply of additional scrubs for staff and physicians, as well as new plexiglass screening stations at hospital entry points to assess everyone entering the building. Your donations have also funded new iPads and supportive equipment, making it possible for palliative patients to connect with family members and friends who are unable to visit them due to the current visitation policy in place to keep patients safe. Donations have also helped fund some of the ancillary accommodation costs, such as cleaning and sanitation, for PRHC healthcare workers who've chosen to isolate while working on the front line in residence space donated by Trent University.

But that’s just the beginning…

We continue to work closely with colleagues at the hospital to identify and support their key priorities through the COVID-19 response fund. Donations will help fund more vital investments such as additional ventilators, laryngoscopes for emergency intubation, additional ICU beds, provisions and wellness supports for staff who must stay at the hospital while treating patients, and more protective equipment and scrubs to help keep them safe.

Gifts will also support the area of greatest need as determined by the hospital so that we can quickly fund the most urgent COVID-19 priorities to help care for patients.

Ensuring PRHC’s doctors, nurses and staff have the technology and equipment they need to save lives is our mission and it’s never been more important than it is right now.

Join us and let’s stand behind PRHC’s dedicated physicians, nurses and staff.
