Current Giving Priorities
You’re helping bring the best the world has to offer to our doorstep!
Because the government doesn’t fund equipment, we count on your donations to fund the tools needed to save lives. Your support of the Campaign for PRHC reflects our shared belief that we can’t afford to let the standard of care we’ve helped establish slip away. Donors like you are leading the way, inspiring others to join us as we reimagine health and care at our hospital.
Here are some of the cutting-edge, lifesaving and life-changing initiatives we’d like to tell you more about:
Hybrid Operating Room
Bringing a hybrid OR to PRHC is one of the most exciting investments in innovation in the hospital’s recent history. Taking us to the frontiers of minimally invasive surgical care, a new hybrid OR will empower PRHC’s vascular surgeons to provide lifesaving treatment to patients with multiple, complex, and challenging vascular conditions.

A hybrid OR is a physical space that allows you to combine the strengths of a classic operating room and an interventional radiology suite. It allows us to take care of patients in a minimally invasive way which allows us to maximize the benefits to the patient and minimize the risks. Donor support is so important. We can’t do the work without it.

Emergency Department Simulation Mannequin
The mannequin at the heart of Emergency Department simulation training is more than a decade old, limiting the realism and effectiveness of simulation. New simulation mannequins feature advanced technology and better reflect the realities of modern emergency medicine, creating a more immersive learning experience. The more immersive and realistic the training, the more it stays with doctors, nurses and staff when every second counts.
Learn how you can help emergency teams stay ready for you and your loved ones.

A new, state-of-the-art simulation mannequin
would strengthen teamwork and better prepare our staff to care for our community.

Anesthesia Machines
After 13 years of continuous use, PRHC’s anesthesia machines are nearing the end of their lifespan. Each must pass a thorough safety check every day. Increasingly, the machines must be pulled from service. If too few machines are working, an operating room may not open, and surgeries will be delayed. For a patient who has prepared themselves and their family for surgery, that can mean uncertainty and more waiting.
Learn how you can help replace aging equipment with advanced new technology.

With new anesthesia machines, my colleagues and I can tailor each patient’s care more carefully to help them wake more smoothly, breathe independently sooner and begin their recovery in the best possible condition.
