There are few things in life as terrifying as hearing, “you have cancer.” Those three little words change everything. One thing is certain, however. Your chances of overcoming this disease increase dramatically when you have timely access to advanced diagnostic tools, and targeted, technologically innovative treatment options.

Cancer care at PRHC is one of the hospital’s three Regional Centres of Excellence. The number of cancer patients from across our region who access their care at the hospital has grown significantly. In a typical year there are over 22,000 patient visits to the Cancer Clinic.

PRHC’s ability to provide cancer care excellence goes hand in hand with access to leading-edge new equipment. As the Health Centre’s vision for a Centre of Excellence for Cancer Care continues to expand and as cancer patient volumes continue to rise, the need for state-of-art tools to help deliver individualized, safe patient care will only increase.
