At 38, Diana Freeman was diagnosed with breast cancer. During treatment at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, she learned that the government doesn’t fund hospital equipment and technology. Wanting to give back, Diana reached out to the PRHC Foundation to become part of the Campaign for PRHC. “I found that people in my network wanted to help me, and to be honest, I didn’t know how to let them,” she says. “By starting a fundraising page, I was able to give everyone an easy way to offer their support when they didn’t know what else to do and it allowed me to accept the help my network wanted to provide, knowing it would support other patients like me.”
