After combining endurance training with giving back to his community last year and raising $800 for PRHC Foundation, Peter DeGroot is back with an even bigger challenge.
This season, Peter is taking on an ambitious lineup of races ranging from family-friendly 5Ks to a 50K trail race and a 70.3 Ironman, all in support of cancer care at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. His goal is to raise $5,000 to help ensure patients in our region have access to advanced, compassionate cancer care close to home.
For Peter, every early morning workout, training session and race is about more than crossing a finish line, it’s about making a difference for local patients and their loved ones. Along the way, he’ll be sharing training updates, race results and community fundraising initiatives, including per-kilometre challenges, bottle drives and other creative ways to support the cause. Follow his journey and support his fundraising efforts through his personal fundraising page here.
Thank you, Peter, for your continued commitment to supporting patient care at PRHC!
