Last year, over 23,000 cancer care visits took place at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. As the number of cancer cases in our region continues to grow, so does the urgency for faster, more precise diagnoses and treatment plans—all determined through tests processed in PRHC’s pathology lab.
That’s why PRHC must invest in state-of-the-art digital pathology. This life-changing technology will give doctors and patients more accurate lab results, sooner. But to bring it to our region, we need the support of donors.
Here are three perspectives from across our hospital community—including pathologist Dr. Katie O’Reilly, medical oncologist Dr. Neera Jeyabalan and patient Diana Freeman—with powerful reminders of why this $2.5 million investment matters so much to patients and their loved ones, and how we can help bring it to PRHC for the first time.
